I haven’t been able to workout in about 6 weeks because of pain and concussion symptoms. I’ve been cleared to work and do things except for workout. And so today it’s been about a week without any bad symptoms. I still get some headaches but I have thought they would have been linked to how bad my eyesight has been getting since the beginning of the year and I stare at screens quite a bit so…I guess I should not jump to conclusions thinking everything is okay. (I have a history of concussions so I was always told the healing would take a bit longer).

Anywho, I powered through my first workout session. It was a walking burnout. It was supposed to be 45 minutes and I made it to the 25 minute mark. Am I frustrated? Absolutely. Do I miss working out? Definitely, but I think as I am starting to get my schedule back on track and it is staying stable I am going to head back to athletic therapy and all the other sessions and I hope to be back on top of my game once again.
Anyways. Here is the summary of how the 25 minutes went.
0:00 I started off working out in sweat pants and a sweater. (I hate how my body looks even after all this weight loss. But I’m home alone so I put on shorts and a sports bra.
0:02 Vision was going a bit blurry. (I was doing the workout with a screen in front of me. Following off a screen). I had Season 1 of friends on in the background.
0:04 Muscles in legs are feeling weak and hurting but pushing through.
0:10 Heart is racing and headache is coming back.
0:19 Paused because of dizziness.
0:25 Finished the workout 20 minutes early.
This was the first workout back and we will see how my body reacts. It is not only the headaches but the rest of the body as well. I am hoping that I can do about 2 more in the next week but we will see.
